The PHYMOL MSCA Doctoral Network offers 11 PhD positions in an ambitious programme of research and training to develope a new generation of researchers in the field of molecular modelling. PHYMOL is led by 12 research and academic institutions as well as 4 industrial enterprises. One of the beneficiaries is CSIC through our institute (Institute of Fundamental Physics, IFF-CSIC) under the leadership of Dr. María Pilar de Lara-Castells.

IFF-CSIC is offering a PhD position to enrol in the doctoral research project DC8: State-of-the art modelling of new quantum materials: surface-supported metal atomic quantum clusters (Supervisor: Dr. María Pilar de Lara-Castells). Details can be found in the previous link but, in summary, we are seeking a strong candidate to develope a computational ab initio-routed model aimed to predict the metal atomic quantum clusters (AQCs) stability at different environmental conditions as well as the UV-Vis spectra of surface-supported AQCs and the design of highly stable surface-supported AQCs photo(catalysts).

All the details about the application process (conditions for all applicants, application procedure and selection process, plus contact e-mails) can be found at the PHYMOL Recruitment page (deadline 01/03/2023).
